Is it hard to talk to your landlord?

Housing Mediation

Conflicts between roommates, neighbours, and tenants and landlords are leading causes of housing loss. Housing Mediation may be a way out of those conflicts so that people can keep their housing. Housing Mediation is a service provided by CCRC’s Housing Resource Centre in partnership with John Howard Society of Peterborough.

Housing Mediation is voluntary and involves:

  • A conversation with us so we can understand your situation
  • Assistance from our staff or volunteers to help facilitate a conversation
  • Conflict coaching – for tenants to find better ways to deal with future conflict

Each situation is unique and may require different types of support.  If you are dealing with a conflict, please reach out to Laura Greenwood, Manager of Community Engagement at 705-743-2272 ext 202 or email lgreenwood@ccrc-ptbo.com
