More people in Peterborough will now be able to avoid eviction, create a plan for getting out of debt, and work through difficult life experiences or trauma with a professional counsellor, thanks to Darling Insurance. They presented a cheque to CCRC for $2,500 from funds made available through Gore Mutual Insurance Company.
The purpose of the funding is to build strong, healthy families, which aligns perfectly with CCRC’s mission of helping people strengthen their lives and promoting community well-being.

CCRC (Community Counselling & Resource Centre) exists to help people make positive changes in their lives through services that offer professional counselling, support and resources to assist with personal well-being, credit and financial management, access to housing and connection with the community.

Through a partnership between clients and professional, knowledgeable, and caring staff, CCRC services have a ripple effect. The services reach far beyond the clients served to have an impact on their families, workplaces, friends, neighbourhoods, and community. Together, with the support of Darling Insurance and Gore Mutual Insurance Company, CCRC is building a stronger community for all.

This partnership between Darling Insurance and CCRC will continue on Thursday, August 31st at the 20th annual Darling Insurance Charity Golf Tournament, where CCRC will be one of the charitable recipients of the proceeds raised. This initial funding of $2,500 will be matched, and likely exceeded at the golf tournament.
